Dr. Semaniakou received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Science from the University of Athens, and her PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the Faculty of Medicine of Dalhousie University. Prior to joining AGADA, she worked as a research assistant in the department of Molecular Endocrinology of the Children Hospital “Saint Sophia” in Athens, conducting clinical studies on patients with MODY, Type 2 Diabetes and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia. Dr. Semaniakou works to conduct preclinical and clinical studies with the AGADA research team.
